Telebugs

With so much attention being given to Smartphone technology in the last year, it is easy to forget that huge advances have been made in the Television sector. Digital HD, Flat-screen LCD and 3D have all become huge drivers for TV sales across the UK. The technology involved has advanced to the point where it won’t be long until holographic technology becomes a reality. The only question consumers have at the moment though, is which is the best set to go for?

The internet has become a game changer for television. Now broadcasters have to compete with a medium that has grown at an exponential rate. Most have been smart enough to include the internet as part of their service with big names like the BBC and Sky offering customers full interactivity. Unfortunately unless you have a television capable of handling it, the internet just won’t be an option for you.

Internet TV is something more and more manufacturers are considering when producing new sets. Flat screen has become standard with HD now building up a full head of steam as we move into the second decade of the 21st Century. So far very few sets have been able to incorporate all these elements together successfully. The smart VIERA connect from Panasonic has managed to balance all elements successfully. Boasting a cloud-based internet service, the VIERA allows viewers to access the internet at the highest speeds (you will need an existing broadband connection) with shows, programmes and movies all available via the service at the touch of a button.

As we enter a new age of social media where everybody is connected to each other at any one time, TVs like the smart VIERA will become more commonplace in the home markets. The future it seems is already here.
